Five minutes before bed: games that help you unwind
Not every game session needs to be a challenge. Some nights I just want something gentle to hold my attention while my brain powers down. Over time I've built a little rotation of calm games for exactly this.
Lanterns of the Hollow tops the list. There's no fail state and no timer, just wandering and small discoveries, which is perfect when you don't want any pressure. I play it with headphones and let the ambient sound do its thing.
FISHIN' FRENZY is the other one I reach for constantly. The cast-and-reel rhythm is soothing, and because it's light on battery I never worry about draining the phone right before I sleep. It's easy to play a few casts and set it down.
Skyforge Workshop rounds things out for nights when I want a little structure — a few repairs, a couple of upgrades, done. The trick with all of these is that they respect when you're finished. They don't nag you to come back, and that's exactly what makes them relaxing.
